- Advanced tactile dexterous hands Tactile-capable dexterous hands sense contact during manipulation, supporting slip detection, grip-force modulation and closed-loop handling of unfamiliar objects.
- Full mobility and manipulation A wheel-base Ultimate build combines a mobile chassis with a dual-arm humanoid upper body, so the robot can both travel to the task and perform it.
- High-performance dual-arm platform Two coordinated arms enable bimanual sequences such as hold-and-manipulate, tool transfer and two-handed assembly.
- Built for complex manipulation Positioned by Unitree for complex manipulation tasks rather than simple pick-and-place, making it appropriate for contact-rich research work.
- AI development platform Intended for AI development and research environments, including embodied-AI policy training that benefits from combined vision and touch data.
- G1-D family architecture Shares the G1-D platform with the fixed-base Standard builds and the other wheel-base Ultimate builds, letting a lab standardise on one architecture across configurations.
Description
The Unitree G1-D Ultimate C U8 is a mobile, high-performance dual-arm humanoid robot fitted with advanced tactile dexterous hands. It sits in the wheel-base Ultimate tier of the G1-D family, which means full mobility and manipulation in one platform, and its defining characteristic against its siblings is the tactile capability at the fingertips.
Tactile hands give the robot information no camera can supply. Vision tells a manipulation system where an object is; touch tells it what happened when contact was made — whether the grasp seated correctly, whether the object is slipping, how much force is being applied. For complex manipulation work, that feedback closes a loop that would otherwise stay open, and it is increasingly what embodied-AI training pipelines want alongside visual data. Mounted on a mobile chassis, those hands can be brought to objects wherever they are, rather than only to whatever has been staged in front of a fixed robot.
Unitree positions the Ultimate C U8 for complex manipulation tasks, AI development and research environments. It suits laboratories running contact-rich mobile-manipulation programmes, teams collecting multimodal datasets that pair vision with touch, and organisations developing autonomous behaviours intended to operate in unstructured, human-occupied spaces rather than in a fixed cell.
Robotix Market sources the Unitree G1-D range new through established distribution channels, and every unit is supplied with the full manufacturer's warranty provided by Unitree Robotics. Technical questions and any warranty work are coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. Because the G1-D is a research-grade platform, we recommend confirming your intended workcell layout, power provision and software toolchain with our team before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a mobile dual-arm humanoid robot built for complex manipulation tasks, AI development and research. It is used where a robot must move through an environment and then perform contact-rich handling — mobile-manipulation research, embodied-AI training and autonomous-behaviour development.
Tactile hands report what happens at the moment of contact — whether a grasp seated correctly, whether an object is slipping, and how much force is being applied. That closes a feedback loop vision alone cannot, which matters for handling unfamiliar or delicate objects and for training embodied-AI models on combined visual and touch data.
All Ultimate builds share the wheeled mobile base and dual-arm humanoid upper body; they differ mainly in end-effector. The U8 is specified with advanced tactile dexterous hands, whereas the Ultimate B U7 uses Dex3-1 force-controlled three-finger hands and the Ultimate D U9 uses five-finger dexterous hands.
The Unitree G1-D Ultimate C U8 is listed at CHF 56,300. That figure is indicative and can move with configuration, destination country, duties and freight, so we recommend submitting a quote request through the Robotix Market product page for a firm delivered price and current lead time.
Robotix Market sources the Unitree G1-D range new through established distribution channels, and each unit carries the full manufacturer's warranty provided by Unitree Robotics. Support and any warranty claims are coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. We ship worldwide; on-site installation and commissioning are not included.
